Many people have different ambitions in life so the word ambition would have different definitions, depending on whom you ask. For me ambition is burning desire to achieve goals or succeed. Ambition related to dedication, motivation and time. i have been fall in love in dentistry field since I was 12 years old. The interest arose when I started to go for a dental check up at government dental clinic. Frankly, I do have an uneven teeth where both left and right side of my incisors move forward a bit and make me uncomfortable with it yet lower down my confidence level when communicate with others.

              I went there because I thought that I should have made an appointment to wear braces and fix those uneven teeth. For some people they might seems my case doesn’t really give much troublesome or negative effects to my health condition but it does effects  my confidence level and appearance. As we know, government dental clinic took years for us to finally put on the braces with few appointment need to attend back then. I have been  to the clinic  after UPSR examination and wished that I could wear it during secondary school and it end up I have received no call from the clinic until my family and I transferred to Terengganu.          



     I don’t really give up so easy. So I decided to make a new appointment in health clinic at Air Jernih Kuala Terengganu and still hopping that I could wear it within nearest time. Every time I went to the clinic the doctor asked me ‘why do you want to wear braces? Your teeth look just fine’. This kind of question didn’t really lower down my spirit to put on the braces. After went through some appointments, I finally got a letter asked me to meet specialist in orthodontics. At first I was so excited. Unfortunately, on the appointment day the specialist was not there because she was on out station. Then a dentist came and gave a looked, commented about my oral condition and we had a little talked .

              The journey of putting on braces really need a lot of patient, and frankly I do love seeing dentist handle the dental tools. From that I knew that government is now lack of specialist. Starting that day, I dreamt of being one of the specialist in dentistry so that I can help Malaysians with their oral health especially orthodontics where I will try my best not to take a longer time for those are waiting to wear braces once I become the orthodontist. And made a several survey on private clinics, i tried my luck at Klinik Gigi Permata whose the owner is Dr. Abdullah one of the specialist in USM Kubang Kerian. First met he wanted to make the mould teeth so that he can examined and took next steps to to make it straight as i wish.  

with braces on , do i look different ? 

             Papa received a call from Dr. a week after the first meeting. He told that i need to do tooth extraction since my upper teeth dosesnt have any space to move and make it even. So i've lost 2 of my premolars for the upper part. sobs sobs.Supposely i can wear braces a week after the tooth extraction. Since the clinic is in my hometown so i've to wait for the next month to put it on.The day tht i've been waiting for so long. It took about an hour and a half for Dr. to completely put on the braces on my teeth.It really need lots and lots of patient when putting all those little things on your teeth. The feeling after i had it, i felt like something was pressing my tooth and of course i felt weird at the same time.About a week i force myself to eat porridge or anything made of liquid. And i must said big no no for solid foods. ops ! i think i'm too engross writing this entry without even realize it's might be bore to be read. Thank you for reading peeps ! much love from me muah
